Wireless Charging, once considered as a desirable feature back in 2016, is the must have during 2018. Energysquare lauched their kickstarter project in early 2016, to bring wireless charging to phones and tablets. The immediate reaction was WOW followed by giving a commitment to fund the project. The kickstarter campaign was successful and the product was expected to deliver in November of 2016.
Weeks, then months, and then year passed with Energysquare facing one of the other challenge with either the product design or the logistics. The delivery dates kept getting postponsed. Fast forward to January 2018, the delivery finally happended, without prior intimation. The struggle with their logistics partner TNT is another story in itself, during this waiting period.
Finally doing the unboxing of the package was fun and a learning in itself.
After the unboxing the charging plate, the connectors (not delivered as requested) and the wall adapter pose for a shot.
The energysquare is currently under testing and the review shall be coming soon. It'll be interesting to see if Energysquare can charge the Asus Chromebook, which uses the USB-C port to charge.
